A Two-State Solution?

Did I hear VP Harris say that at the debate?

After the instant chatter of the debate settled like an apple pie out the oven, I backtracked and listened to Vice President Kamala Harris’ answer about the Israel-Palestine conflict. On the night of the debate, I was certain I heard her say: two states or something like that.

I listened again. I was correct. VP Kamala Harris did say — two states. This does not fix anything but it sure has been a long time since I have heard any American official say it.

Harris, who began her statement by focusing on the attack of October 7, 2023 and not the NAKBA of 1948, or her country’s role in the carnage that ensused after Octobe 7, 2023, basically tried to play it all ways. She is totally all in with Israel but also thinks Israel should be careful how it conducts its military operations (as if this possible).

Now, a one state solution in the region would be most ideal to some but two states is probably the path, for now. It is a start.
