According to 23 and Me, I have 8 percent Jewish DNA. Can I move to Israel? No. Because everyone originates in Africa, there is likely a common DNA thread in all of us. Those DNA test only test 1 percent of your DNA panel. They are a start not an ending. For that reason, I do not agree with this. Orthodox Jews say the Jewish people are unique and never were supposed to, by Jewish law, to form a nation called Israel (especially so by force). Are they wrong? Their beliefs are rooted in the religious texts. But thanks for writing.
