America @Easter 2025
There is no resurrection coming for the United States
As long as the guy from Queens, New York, is President, I do not hope for America to succeed. I know he is up to no good and is a bad leader and human being. That, in itself, deserves no encouragement. He cannot be rewarded for horrible behavior. That is the message at Easter.
There has been no resurrection because there has been no crucifixion. America is not the savior of the world, worthy of any such label anyway. America is not Jesus Christ, Jesus of Nazareth, the carpenter blessed with the sacred tongue.
Right now, in my humble opinion on this holy day, America is in a death spiral. I have written about this reality many, many times. All of the signs are there. The current President is the best indication, the top symptom that something is terribly wrong here. It has been tilting in that direction for decades but recovery was possible. Now, I don’t see it.
The anti-intellectuals have won. The religious fanatics have won. The bigots are still everywhere. But then, most of all, the phat cats have rigged the system so bad now, there can be no resurrection. The very wealthy own all the wealth and all of the land. They control the elections in America.
