America, Inequality, and Freedom
Economist Thomas Piketty told us what was about to happen years ago
“When inequality gets too extreme, then it becomes useless for growth, and it can even become bad because it tends to lead to high perpetuation of inequality over time and low mobility.” — Thomas Piketty
No one cares what a French economist (Thomas Piketty) has to say about inequality and wealth in America. Few even paid attention when his book ‘Capital,’ was the talk of the intellectual circuit years ago, The book is 600 pages and there are graphs and charts. Many of us should read it. It is a roadmap on how we got screwed by our country — America.
According to Piketty, from 1900–1980, 70 percent of the world’s production of goods was concentrated in Europe and America. By 2010, just 30 years later, that production was at 50 percent and falling. What is it today? China is running the show according to Safeguard Global:
No one is surprised. China is running manufacturing? Really?
