An Indigenous House of Representatives?

I am for creating representation in these United States for Indigenous People. Are you?
This is not me coming up with this proposal either. The journal, Democracy proposed this last year. And Democracy wasn’t the first to propose such a serious change either. But it is the latest foray into this historical question.
Here is the proposal as written in the journal:
“There shall be a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of three chambers: a House of Representatives, a Senate, and a Council of Indigenous Nations. These bodies shall operate by majority rule.”
It is not complex. Under Article II of a new constitution, a “Council of Indigenous Nations” is created. Congress will have three chambers. This should be a no-brainer. But, let the Indigenous nations and people decide ultimately what it is they think will preserve and promote self determination and freedom for them.
Such an entity would provide the Indigenous population with a voice on this part of this continent. Indigenous nations were here for 10,000 years or more before any…
