Message from Secretary of War to President Truman on bombing of Hiroshima

Almost every day now, someone brings up nuclear war.

When U.S. politicians bring it up, it is almost met with dismissal by other world leaders. This is because America is the only country in the history of humanity that has used a nuclear warhead on another country.

The U.S. dropped two atomic bombs on Japan during World War II in 1945 and most agree this was the day America took over the world. It is also the day that thousands of Japanese citizens were killed in a manner of seconds and thousands more would die years later from diseases caused by exposure to radiation.

Two Japanese cities — Hiroshima and Nagasaki — were flattened. The U.S. occupied Japan after the bombings and emerged as an imperial power with no peer.

This is why when the U.S. speaks of nuclear war and makes statements about the dangers of a nuclear war, it has no credibility. No one else has done what the United States did back in 1945. Russian President Vladimir Putin is aware of this which is why he keeps mentioning the fact that Russia has nuclear capabilities.

It is the same with unilateral invasions and human rights. The U.S. lectures countries publicly about human rights violations and unilateral…
