Here we go again. Joe Biden or _____________ (name of a Democratic candidate for President) is a Marxist. This summarizes night #1 of the GOP convention. Even making such assertion shows how lost of a cause this party is to anyone thinking at the tiniest level.

Herschel Walker, an ex professional football player is given a speaking spot at the GOP convention. (Candace Owens? Go mop a floor or something). Herschel Walker? What’s his qualification? His role. He’s black and willing to speak in favor of a hardcore racist bigot President. What is this? Was he all they could find? Where the real loyalists? Will this make black people cross over and vote for Trump and Pence? No !!

Where’s Mitt Romney? Where’s Paul Ryan? Donald Trump Jr., a nothing of a person gets a speaking spot, and not George W. Bush? Rumsfeld and Cheney? Did they decline? How about Rove, Karl? What about Dan Quayle? Where are the real Republicans? I mean, Republicans, unafraid to stand aside this?

Did they invoke Frederick Douglass yet? Dr. King? (Dr., by the way, was a Democratic Socialist in ideology, not a Republican). I am sure they did invoke Lincoln even though some of their current members think slavery for Africans was a good thing and still should be legal. Lincoln always works for them.

The Republican Party emerged in 1854 to combat the Kansas–Nebraska Act and the expansion of slavery into American territories. The early Republican Party consisted of northern evangelical Protestants, businessmen, professionals, factory workers, prosperous farmers (after 1866) and, former black slaves and some white Southerners, especially in mountain areas. It had few Catholic supporters. The GOP was pro-business, and it supported banks, the gold standard, railroads and, high tariffs. The party opposed the expansion of slavery before 1861 and led the fight to destroy the Confederacy (1861–1865). At its inception, the Republican Party had almost no presence in the Southern United States. In the North by 1858, it had enlisted former Whigs and former Free Soil Democrats to form majorities in nearly every Northern state. (wikipedia)

Here’s what we do know: In May 2016, two thirds of Republicans believed that Barack Obama was a Muslim. Many still believe Obama was born in Kenya and not the U.S. The birther cult almost gained new traction last week when Kamala Harris, born in California, was announced as Joe Biden’s running mate.

Early in the GOP convention, as Trump spoke and mentioned Obama, someone in the audience yelled “Spygate!” It reached social media and it was said person said “monkey.” It was eventually corrected. The hardcore cried foul. Yet…
