At the Crossroads Again America
The ex-President must be openly prosecuted
Alas, I will keep this short.
The ex-President, known to most as #45, is facing prison time in four states now. The latest is Georgia. He has just been indicted for trying to illegally influence the election in Georgia now.
The charges against Mr. Trump are serious. His actions related to trying to hijack an election, remain in power, and achieve a coup, are very serious. I don’t think he or his hardcore supporters take the charges seriously. They also remain resolute in their commitment to the conspiracy theories about the election that has led the country to this crossroads.
The rule of law should prevail. Justice must be served.
Ignore the cynicism
To many, all of this sounds corny or cynical. So be it and duly noted. But this is a big moment for the United States of America, even with its legacy of political corruption and the easy avoidance by the rich from having to face justice. In other words, Trump, the ex-President, must be prosecuted. There can be no mistakes, and nothing should stop this now. America is at a crossroads, and it must choose the right way. No deals. No nonsense. Prosecute. His rights should be…
