Don’t let the patriarchal patriotism mess up this triumph
When Cherelle Griner, Brittney Griner’s spouse, took the microphone at the White House yesterday and finally had her say, I said to myself — love wins. The love of a woman for another woman. Freedom won but love won most of all. And then, of course, women.
Then, later as the day of so-called joy proceeded, the patriarchs with their hyper patriotism tried to crash the party. I was not surprised. I expected them to show up and try to ruin the moment of triumph for Griner, her friends, and her family.

It was pretty sad reading it. These tweets are from Elon Musk’s Twitter for the record.
There was similar trash on Facebook and some news chats. The posts were always from men. They complained and complained. It was sad.
It was also patriarchal foolishness. I won’t bother to post much more of it. But there was one I have to post.
