But What About Economic Equality, Joe?
Is the authoritarian MAGA crew, really our #1 threat?

A public message in the media, social and otherwise, is spreading like a pesticide over a field of crops. It goes like this: the 45th President and his MAGA crew are the #1 threat to democracy in the United States.
It is a false narrative.
The #1 threat to democracy in America is economic inequality. This is what must be addressed. This is why America is in a death spiral right now and has been so for a long time now.
Even if every MAGA Republican right now ceased to exist, economic inequality would be staring us all in the face and consuming our lives and struggles.
This descent into gross economic inequality began in 1980 when Ronald Reagan was elected President and decisions were made to benefit the wealthy and throw the rest of us under a moving train. The tax burden of the nation was shifted onto the middle class. The social safety net for the poor and must unfortunate was stripped naked. And ‘trickle down’ economic trickery was promoted.
