Chat-GPT (#2)
Is the white-collar world about to be hit like Flint, Michigan?

I have friends who are using CHAT-GPT. They are using it for all sorts of written tasks. I say they are playing with fire. When automation came to the industrial blue-collar areas in America, and when jobs were outsourced, these parts of the U.S. lost jobs like trees lose leaves in autumn. Some cities like Flint, Michigan, Dayton, Ohio, and Youngstown, Ohio never recovered.
What is Chat GPT and why should you care?
According to Popular Computers Guide, “Chat GPT is an AI chatbot auto-generative system created by Open AI for online customer care. It is a pre-trained generative chat, which makes use of (NLP) Natural Language Processing. The source of its data is textbooks, websites, and various articles, which it uses to model its own language for responding to human interaction.”
To summarize, Chat GPT is a computer system that can write, speak, and think and write like a human being or sort of. You, the human feed it information, and it can write something for you like this essay I am writing. This is why this is a game changer for many more people in the workforce or for people who have not even entered the workforce yet. It can do this, a skill a lot of people do today for good salaries and benefits.
So, should the nation be collectively paying attention and watching less HULU and Netflix? Yes. But this is America.
Besides…
No one has told the workers of America what is coming. And just like factory workers of yesteryear, no one planned extensively for a post-industrial world in America. American workers lost their jobs because a robot could do it, or someone in another country working for trinkets would do it, or it could be done cheaper elsewhere in America.
Some rich people got richer. If only there had been a plan. You don’t kick people out of work. You also, if you are a real society, prepare for the transition, in a responsible manner.
Here are some comments I have heard about Chat-GPT that are worth exploring.
