Critical Legal Studies is rooted in Marxism. Perhaps, as I said, you should read up on the history of Critical Race Theory and what its writers write about. I would say very few of them are Marxist. The discipline has all sorts of writers. Critical Race Theory? Marxist? You heard this from Christopher Rufo, I bet. He made up his analysis. Kimberle Crenshaw, Derrick Bell, Mari Matsuda, Richard Delgado, none of them are Marxist and do not write about Marxism. Check yourself and read some of their writings. But CRT and CLS are two different things. CLS is closely associated with more collectivist scholars. CRT is not.
