During the hunter -gatherer period, men and women in societies were virtual equals. there was no you cook and clean and i will hunt. some societies were not organized like that. you read the book, remember? there was no time for war and violence amongst men as an actual goal to solve problems. patriarchy is many societies was non-existent. yes, most societies are war like societies, men are violent, but it is still a choice. there are many that aren't. why is that?
