Elon Musk & Black Twitter Massive
Is this a deal breaker for African people? (part 1)
The photo above is Elon Musk’s privilege and how he got his money whether he wants to deal with that or not. That is the 1960 Sharpsville Massacre in South Africa. Sixty nine protestors were killed; 29 of them were children.
Elon can’t be born in South Africa into wealth and status without some of that happening. In fact, Sharpsville is named after a man from Scotland even though it is in Africa and even though it was established to segregate African people from European colonists.
Elon Musk was born in Pretoria, South Africa, a city north of Sharpsville. He is where he is because his father exploited the riches of South Africa and got rich. His father is an extractionist to the continent of Africa, and a person who Elon calls a terrible human being now.
That’s between him and his father.
Though, I am pretty sure Elon didn’t turn down his father’s loot as he was raised in privilege and wealth. I have also been told Elon is a terrible human being. I have no idea.
So, how do African people reconcile this with being on Twitter anymore?
For me, it is pretty much a deal breaker. I have pretty much made of my mind mostly.
