In a seance last night, in the dark of East Potomac Park, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the ex-President, asserted executive privilege over his entire presidency. All of the documents and records he ever generated in 12 years he said.

This is so, according to three weed heads I spoke with who convened the seance hoping to speak with FDR. They did, according to them.

“I am sorry I am a bit late on this decision,” FDR was heard in a cryptic voice by the three reefer heads. “But, in light of the crazy things being allowed lately by this corrupt former President out and about now, I have come to this decision. And with all the political bickering over the future of social security, the records must be sealed forever.”

“Really?” one of the attendees said back through a cloud of smoke and coughing. “Is this really FDR speaking?”

“Well, it isn’t LBJ, that’s for sure.”

“How would we know this is you, Frank?” another asked.

“Because.”

“Because what?”

“Because there is nothing to fear but weed itself, you burnouts. I suggest rehab as soon as possible.”
