Remember Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) in Psycho’ at the end? He’s his dead mother and himself, all at once. This is part of what he says:

“…They’ll put him away now, as I should have years ago. He was always bad…They know I can’t move a finger, and I won’t. I’ll just sit here and be quiet, just in case they do… suspect me. They’re probably watching me. Well, let them. Let them see what kind of a person I am. I’m not even going to swat that fly. I hope they are watching… they’ll see. They’ll see and they’ll know, and they’ll say, “Why, she wouldn’t even harm a fly…”

Perhaps the Grifter is lost in some psychotic episode. His decisions suggest strongly there is something gravely wrong with him mentally. Maybe it is something about not receiving enough love and approval from his parents. Who knows, and at this point, who cares? He know he needs help. His conduct is unhinged.

His commercials on television attacking Kamala Harris have nothing to do with leadership. They are just opportunities to attack immigrants or members of the LGBTQ community. He never brags about his time in office 2017–2021 because it was a horrific time.

Norman Bates gets the last word here:

“…They’ll put him away
