Hardly ever watch the alphabet soup media in America. I do watch PBS Newshour a little. I watch Democracy Now. I read newspapers and news sites. I watch some foreign press. I also read The Nation, and the Progressive, and Sojourners. I read FAIR and listen to its podcast. I also listen to the podcast ON THE MEDIA, which I suspect will be doing something on CNN. The New Internationalist is a good magazine, and then there is one called Delayed Gratification, which is a print mag that does stories deeply but later when the facts are more clear. Finally, I try to read the London Review of Books. There are some good news outlets in Asia like The Strait Times but only for reporting, not commentary. Too much commentary these days from reporters. Too much sensationalism.
