Has China Won? By Kishore Mahbubani, of Singapore is the book to check out. I enjoyed reading this. Mahbubani is a former UN Ambassador and prolific writer. Very sharp on geopolitical issue in Asia. He has a nice Ted Talk as well. He would probably say China has to back Russia because the U.S. is waging a soft Cold War on China with tariffs and other measures. And he is correct. The US has surrounded China with military bases and warships. The hostility is intense. Trump pushed it hard and Biden, politically afraid, refuses to dial it back. US is now trying to organize right in China’s space even more to try to offset the inevitable - China will have the largest economy in the world soon. It is a complex geopolitical conflict. Thanks again for a hard opinion with lots of angles.
