I always like the combination of news analysis, reportage, and commentary. Just opens so many possibilities for thoughtful looks at the topic. Not just a rant but a deep dive for the actual facts. Those are building blocks. Yes, it is journalism and yes, it is also playing the traditional role of journalists as advocates to hold the system accountable. Journalists cannot stand with the institutions. They are there to critique and comment on it and/or seek out the facts. This piece does all of this. Hopefully I can continue to keep up with your writing as I have been able so far. You also have that Texas perspective. I am mostly inside the DC bubble. People here agree about most things or they shut up and keep their head down. It is liberal left world with some outliers.
