I do value freedom. I don't like authority. I do love community and collective efforts for the greater good. I do not believe in "corporate capitalism." I think that is the worst economic system on earth. I respect markets though at the micro level with little interference by the state. Cooperative markets, farmer's markets, small grocery stores is where I shop and that should be our model into the future. Smaller. Less is more is one of my values. More is less and it is. Those big box stores don't make life better for the masses. They make someone a lot of money. I also truly believe homosapiens must pivot to motivation for the greater good rather than personal enrichment. It is how we will survive this mess have started which seems to be headed towards our extinction. There is no substitue for good citizens in other words. A society which is built around stoking the greed gene in all of us is doomed.
