I won't debate whether your analysis is right or wrong. Not my place to tell writers here they are wrong or right. I just like reading the writers. However, I do teach Critical Race theory at the college level, and I do not consider myself a "critical race folks." It is one of many theories I teach in my work. My students are allowed to read the materials and invest in it intellectually as Americans. It is one of the more vibrant teaching segments we have had each term. Here is an essay I wrote on Medium that summarizes what we teach. I am not sure where the "Marxist" construct of CRT came from, but that is patently incorrect and misplaced. Christopher Rufo is likely responsible for that. He has done the entire discussion a disservice. CRT is not related to Marxism. If anything, Duncan Kennedy, who is a leading Critical Legal Studies Scholar, might be the reason. He leans Marxist, I believe and he and the early CRT scholars were working together on issues of inequality from a legal viewpoint. However, CRT broke clean from CLS because of CLS' inadequacies in acknowledging America's racial caste system.
