Once, Israel, France, and Britain invaded Egypt. Egypt’s leader, President Gamal Abdel Nasser had nationalized the Suez Canal and that was basically a declaration of war to the colonial powers. The U.S. and Russia eventually intervened and sent everyone home but the moment had occurred. A message had been sent to the Arab’s world’s most prominent power at the time.

Now, each and every day we hear talk that Iran is going to be invaded by Israel. Or should I say, bombed. Israel even has a plan, according to the American media. Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu has advised President Biden that Israel will bomb military targets in Iran, not civilian targets. The war is coming despite common sense.

The notion is Iran is providing weapons to Hezbollah and Hamas, so they have it coming according to Israel. It does not help that the U.S. and Iran have been basically at war since 1953 when the U.S. orchestrated an overthrow of the Iranian government.
