One of my best friends is from India. Came to the US when he was 12. I remember early on he showed me all these Bollywood movies. I was like, I never knew about this stuff. It was a total mystery to me that there was a whole industry of movies out of India where they were imitating Hollywood. But that's what colonialism does. It is refreshing that so many are kicking it aside at last. Not everyone but many people are moving forward.
