People are in the struggle. It is just like the abolition of slavery. The results are rarely seen over the short term. The struggle against it began from the beginning of it. Yet, there were years of no movement, then boom - 1781, Massachusetts abolishes it. Another state abolishes it. Brick by brick. Millions of people do give a damn and are changing their lives, fighitng for something different.
