Race is a social construct. Yes. That is the most important thing for me. It is only on a biological level that we are "one race" (homo sapiens) anyway. Not possible to wave a magic wand and race will disappear, at least not right now. When I teach classes and race comes up this is how I express it. It is a social construct. The fact that it is not biological fact is also shared because that indicts this society and many other societies who continue to claim Black people are biologically inferior (they are of an inferior race is how it is expressed). Of course, that is the evil of racism.
