Social norms and puritan America has fucked up many a good child of God. I guess I call myself all of it but mostly a seeker. I was raised in the church. I served well. I still go to church but I belong to no church. My interests are in all manners of belief, not just one. I now wake up and go to church or listen to church, or go to a Quaker Friends meeting (I am not a Quaker) or meditate or do something sacred, or spiritual or divine. It makes me feel whole, makes me feel like (when I do this) that I have connected to God and God's universe. That's all I got. I like rituals but not rules. So, I try to thread the needle right there. I think I have to get out of my comfort zone to feel like I am actually chasing God and God is telling me to come on, run faster. I would love to experience more sacred practices from other faiths before I check out of the hotel.
