Thanks for the comment; I was challenged on this question by women. Dozens of them. So this is my response after long and careful thought. It is a critique of media coverage of the trial and how she was presented. It’s also my reaction to discovering she attended a magnet school (same as my wife) in a basically all Black community of Baton Rouge. It is and was quite poor too. That’s all. My comments on misogyny in this patriarchal society I think are well supported by the facts we witness each day.
