Thanks for the response. Comments, etc. You should have posted that as a posting. It is true and that what you note is not all racial either. The caste system is economic ultimately. Racial classifications just made it easier to implement. But the exploitation of labor is across the board. It is still the goal of the tiny class who benefit the most from all of this to pay people as little as possible. I should say - compensate. The system has not really changed. That is on the workers to realize that collectively. There is no agency as you note. I don't know how to convince all workers we are all on the same side mostly. We are. Whatever field you work in, the people working in that field are not adversaries. They are potential allies. We should try to avoid making blank decisions because of racial classifications. Workers know what they want and need. We should not be crabs in a barrel.
