Thanks. Maybe it is a way of reflection. Living around mostly Black people in DC, I never thought much about it. But it was a dog-eat-dog moment on a certain level. I was too young to say, what in the F is wrong with you, people? I just left. I can’t even say it hurt; it just was odd. I knew people got treated differently but that moment still was bizarre.
