A friend’s part time job explains the new capitalism is evil
I have this friend who I am assisting with some legal matters. He has several. I am a lawyer so I can’t say much specifically but can only talk in generalities.
My friend was working at a place part time to augment his income and it started out great. He wasn’t making a lot of money but he was making some. He also would put in more work and he would make more money as one could expect. He got a few bonus checks based on performance and he kept trying to work as much as he could but he mostly used the company as a guide.
Eventually, he was doing decent in the work. That is until management change and his long time manager departed. He was a bit curious but the new manager said the company was not changing but would get better.
My client was fairly new so he didn’t make waves but he also was a steady, reliable worker. Initially, nothing did change. But eventually changes began to show up.
The workers were pushed to work more and their pay went down. It is not a set wage job but the more you work, the better chance you have to make more money had been the pattern. He stayed with that but every week, less and less money on his paychecks. He tried working even…
