The Supreme Court is the Court of the ‘New Confederacy’
The Trump ballot decision is lunacy
Once, many years ago, J. Michael Luttig was on the U.S. Supreme Court short list. Opposition to him was fierce. Advocacy groups were prepared to oppose Luttig if his name was called. It never came.
Today, Luttig is the voice of reason in a country in full sprint towards autocratic rule. Luttig not only properly and forcefully advised former Vice President Mike Pence to not be a fool and overthrow the government on January 6; Luttig has been adamant that Donald Trump does not belong on the ballot. In Luttig’s view, Trump, via the Fourteenth Amendment, is disqualified (and he is).
Yet, the U.S. Supreme Court shucked its duty and issued a meaningless opinion that will allow Trump to become President again. Here are some of Luttig’s quotes from his comments regarding the awful decision by the U.S. Supreme Court.
