They might get crushed but it is not because of those hearings. The hearings were simply amazing and very important. This summer, for the first time since before Reagan, or at least before the Gingrich period, Congress conducted itself professionally and with civility. The production and presentation was even more professional. It might be impossible to undo the damage of the last 30 years but I loved every moment of the hearings. If you watch them, people will know some people should be arrested. But America is not America of say, 1962, or 72. It might not be able to fix this. But I give the Committee credit; they did good. Adam K was especially very very good. And Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney restored civility. People like that should be making decisions about America, and not Trump or Steve Bannon, or the Clintons, or Obamas cohorts.
