Travels in Scrabble
I hate that game but here are two I love…
A recent joke from Foodnewsnews.com goes like this:
“I just swallowed a stack of Scrabble tiles by accident. My next poop could spell disaster.”
That says it all too. Because I have not played SCRABBLE in at least 35 years. I hated it. I aways hated it. But it was always there. And it was always looked at as the game everyone thought was cool to play because it was educational.
It dealt with words. Difficult words got you more points. Thus, if you got terrible letters, with low points, you had no chance. Usually, I knew pretty fast if I was going to lose.
An ex-girlfriend who had me under her spell for a few years loved it. So, I played. She was hotter than the Mojave desert, a “Brick House,” highly intelligent, funny, and everything else that had my nose open. So I played Scrabble with her. Any excuse to be around her. But I hated every game.
Luckily, she was not just a SCRABBLE fanatic, my ex-lover was a board game girl. So, here are two other great board games we played regularly before we played other things.
