Trump’s Executive Orders Are Nothing
Pay attention, and fight the power
An executive order, issued by a President of the United States, is not necessarily law. In fact, the President does not make law. The President executes the law of the United States after Congress passes a law.
This is why when Presidents issued executive orders, nothing really happens except in a very limited number of situtations. These include military issues, pardons, or foreign policy situations. They might do something but they can’t do anything unless there is a law or some governmental agents willing to break the law.
A great example of an executive order that actually had meaning and was a new law was when President Lincoln issued the Empancipation Proclamation which effectively ended slavery in the United States.
Presidents issue executive orders all the time. Most of them apply to existing laws already passed by Congress. Most don’t and mean little if anything. We will see a lot of this under the current President. Like yesterday, he signed an executive order allegedly creating a new government agency. The President cannot establish an agency; only Congress can do that.
This is being done for effect. For fear. To try to create a sense of hysteria and control. His ridiculous executive orders mean nothing unless…
