Once all of these unqualified persons nominated to work for us are in place, that’s when it will all begin. The madness and the defeat. The government is undefeated. You can try to destroy it, but it is going to be quite difficult.

Vivek and Elon say they are going to cut whole departments of the government. They also know that’s not how it works. They also know that they have no power because they aren’t a real department. Departments in the government are created by Congress, both branches. Then a President signs it into law. The chances of that happening are close to “nil.”

The President can’t create departments. The President can’t fund departments. The Presidents can ask Congress to create it and the filibuster rule says that is going to be hard.

Congress can defund an agency — zero it out. But then that has to be voted on by both houses of Congress. Once it goes to the Senate, the deliberate body, things get slow and methodical. Dicey.

This is why most people, regardless of how they got into power, who get cabinet positions soon settle into the prestige, history, and corruption, not to mention the waste, and they soon understand they are in over their heads. America was designed for…
