Very good essay. And I appreciate the editing I get, the guidance and the opportunity here. PS is my go to political zine on Medium. I have had good moments with those who don’t agree w me many places. I have had moments when I have been enlightened by someone who is probably very progressive left. I like those exchanges. Yet, if a person is still for the 45th President being re-elected and believes his crazy conspiracies then the conversation is short. I warned folks what he was about. I have been watching him for 40 years. It took 40 years for him to weasel his way to the top and exploit weaknesses that had developed here. The guy is a symptom and a cause of the current state of things. It is unusual to be both a cause and a symptom. I used to think I wasn’t giving people who support the guy a fair shake. But I just can’t. I have dug deep. But can’t. I will keep reading the writers here. I dig PS a lot.
