When Dave Brubeck, the very accomplished piano player, and composer, was put on the cover of TIME Magazine, before Duke Ellington, he almost cried. He basically apologized to Ellington who he looked upon as his idol, and the artist he aspired to be. This Mackalmore story is eerily similar. It again demonstrates the depth of white supremacy in this country. Do The vast majority of white people have no idea how racist this place is, or is racism so normal in the U.S., it is next to impossible to fix it?
