You are hitting the nail on the head. They basically have two production outfits - Masterpiece and Walter's Choice - who do programming and I guess they purchase it for use after it airs in the European countries where the shows are made. They could do that with "dramatic" programming highlighting the lives and history of African, Asians, and Hispanic peoples and others as well. They surely as you note could call up some Black production companies and have them produce original content. I think it is political. That's all. I guess that is why I finally got fed up and wrote this.
